We are excited about the prospect of creating jobs within the community. We could also like the opportunity to be involved as we are an irrigation contractor that is located in the Village.

This prime, easy-to-access location is ideal for a casino and entertainment complex. This development managed by Wind Creek Hospitality will be a game changer to say the least!

All entities involved will benefit from this location. Because of the immediate access to and from I-80 that the Halsted Street site affords, this will lead to higher use of the facility that will generate significant revenue for all involved.

Having a four-diamond casino/hotel/restaurant in this area would be an amazing and wonderful experience for all. It would create many jobs in the area. That is a huge plus. Being able to give back to our communities is another huge benefit.

Both East Hazel Crest and Homewood’s residents will benefit from employment opportunities and Wind Creek’s reassurance to invest in both communities.

It is my belief that this is the best location to develop a casino. The site provides for easy access to the estimated 80 million people that pass through I-80 each year. Visitors that could help provide the region and our state some much needed revenue. Revenue that could be put back into the community.

As one of the largest privately owned solid waste collection and recycling processing companies in Illinois, Homewood Disposal Services strongly supports the Wind Creek Hospitality Casino and Entertainment Destination being located in East Hazel Crest and Homewood.

I am confident the Wind Creek proposal will best ensure that the economic benefits from a casino are maximized to benefit the entire region.

As a fifteen-year resident, I am writing to express my support of locating the Wind Creek Hospitality Casino and Entertainment Destination at 174th Street and Halstead Street.

The employment opportunities, dining, entertainment and tax revenue would be much needed and appreciated. I cannot express enough of how much this would mean to my neighbors and myself.

The stable leadership of both Villages of East Hazel Crest (led by Village President Thomas A. Brown) & Homewood (led by Village President Richard Hofeld) lends itself to the creation of establishing a profound business and community-based relationship with the Wind Creek Hospitality team. During these incredibly challenging times of the COVID-19 global pandemic (both on the health of our residents and the current economic fallout), the East Hazel Crest/Homewood casino site can go a long way towards healing our Southland communities.

The casino will provide a needed economic boost to the entire south suburban region – shared revenue, as well as jobs for south suburban residents.

I really think the new construction and post construction job opportunities will be a significant benefit to the surrounding communities. The location is in a positive area where easy access is readily available.

We support the south suburban casino being located in East Hazel Crest because it will be such a boost in our economic development.

The Moraine Valley Community College Foundation intends to disburse our portion of these funds for academic and need-based scholarships to students and emergency assistance funds for students who are struggling to remain in school and more.

This is the best location in the south suburbs for a casino. Nearly 80 million vehicles pass by the proposed site adjacent to I-80 each year. This easy-to-access location creates a solid foundation for the proposed quality, “four diamond” casino and entertainment complex – one that will maximize revenue and draw significant out-of-state visitors on a continuing basis from across the border in Indiana.

I believe it is a perfect location and I am looking forward to the great benefits that Wind Creek Hospitality has to offer to our communities. Not to mention the employment opportunities, dining, entertainment, and tax revenue that would be much needed and appreciated.

As a 20 year resident, and community leader of the Village of Homewood, I believe Wind Creek Hospitality would responsibly operate this business venture and provide numerous economic opportunities to the residents of Homewood and the greater south suburban area. 

This project would benefit many other communities in the South Suburban region – Palos Heights included. Not only would it generate addition tax revenue, but it also has the potential to stimulate economic growth through the creation of jobs and the expansion of tourism.

The towns of East Hazel Crest and Homewood and their residents will benefit from job creation and Wind Creek’s promise to give back to the community.

In addition, the Villages of Homewood and East Hazel Crest will partner with Wind Creek Hospitality to share a portion of their casino revenue to fund scholarships for disadvantaged students and provide health services in the south suburban region which is expected to distribute $1 million annually.

Additionally, a casino of this magnitude means jobs.  A lot of them.  It is estimated that this proposal would create nearly 800 permanent jobs not to mention the local contractors and vendors that would be tapped to be a part of the build and ongoing operations. 

The Ingalls Development Foundation is a federal 501 c 3 tax exempt organization that was established in 1982 to raise funds to support the mission of Ingalls Memorial Hospital, to improve the health of the Southland communities we serve.

Upon reviewing the proposed four sites, this location will provide the most benefits to the south suburbs and has the largest earning potential due to its location, highway access, and proximity to the Indiana border.

It is my opinion that this particular location will provide the best opportunity for revenue and jobs in a region that could use the boost.

In summary, we do not object to East Hazel Crest, securing this new gaming facility; and if one is granted, we will work with you for the betterment of our region.

This location is great; in fact, it is the perfect BUSINESS decision for the state of Illinois. The location is such a great location, when you think about all the people driving I-80 to go to the Indiana Casinos in Hammond.

As a business owner in this community, I have only good thoughts about the Wind Creek Casino & Hotel becoming our neighbor. This has been a great place for my business for 20 years, and this area certainly deserves an opportunity to grow.

This project is more about a casino, it’s about how the surrounding communities will benefit from it – jobs, new roads, charitable giving, shared tax revenue and creating a need for ancillary development around the casino.

I believe the Wind Creek Hospitality application is the best for our communities across the region.

While the location is what will help this site thrive, the easy access and potential to become a tourist destination is a selling point.

I am convinced that this site will not only maximize revenue for the State and surrounding communities, but also draw significant out-of-state visitors on a continuing basis from Northwest Indiana.

This proposed Four-Diamond, 70,000 square foot project located off of I-80 at Halsted Street is a prime location for the nearly 80 million vehicles that pass by it each year to access.

It is my opinion that the location is what will help this site thrive with its easy access.

Having a casino restaurant in our small, quaint town would be such a great asset to all. The location is perfect right off the expressway and people coming home from work heading to Indiana could stop by and bring some revenue back to us.

As a lifelong resident of the south suburbs and the State Representative of the 30th District since 2003, I am in full support of WCH’s efforts to develop a casino in East Hazel Crest and Homewood, two strong, stable, and diverse communities.

In addition, Wind Creek’s proposal ensures that the entire south suburban region will benefit from the casino. In addition to gaming revenue, they commit to making significant contributions to the larger south suburban community through the creation of the Southland Public Benefit Fund.
